271. Posted July 2. Changes for skyscale with new expansion sound good and it go even further. Today during playing some meta there was interesting idea in chat. Skyscale for 2 ppl same as turtle. After that some silly ideas was also written like upgrade raptor to T-rex and my idea make T-rex mount for 2 ppl and add lasers to it. PD: Mounts are a commodity-necessity, sure you can play core tyria without mounts. but you can also play most PoF map without mounts too, I don't see the point of the argument here. Mounts are a big attraction for new players to buy the expansions. Level to 80 there. Find a profession and build that fits your style of playing. Get a set of exotic gear and finish the main story line. Don't get tempted to buy an expansion and use the level 80 boost because this basically allows you to skip the "learning to play your profession" part which will likely result in frustration later on. The first two expansions are pretty much required if you want to actually truly experience the game. Free accounts don't let you convert gold to gems, don't have access to the mounts, don't have full access to the trading post, only have 3 bag slots, no log-in rewards. Springer, Skimmer, Jackal are all unlocked exclusively through the Path of Fire expansion and completion of specific hearts in PoF that you'll do through story. Mount Skins are only available via the Gem Store, which you can get by translating your in-game gold to gems. You get mounts from playing PoF expansion, the mounts you see on the gem store are skins for them. Those are skins for the mounts / gems can be bought with gold and you can buy those. 1 - you can get to Lion's Arch pretty easily from a portal or just travelling.2 - once there, launch the PoF storyline and get your mount.3 - once you have a raptor, running around to get WPs etc. will be a breeze. OR, just use your lvl 80 as if it were lvl 1. Since you get scaled to the map anyway it's just like playing a new toon on easy mode. When you start the game, open your hero screen by pressing H. Click on the story journal (star icon on the left, fourth from the top), and look for Path of Fire in the bottom. It should have a purple background.
